THE PAIN KILLERS http://www.thepainkillersmovie.com is hosting a 'Zombies vs. Superheroes' movie fundraiser on August 4, 2012. All of LA's zombies, superheroes, villains, cyborgs, wizards and creatures from every genre are invited for a theme party soirée at an underground warehouse venue: 174 West 136th Place 90007 in the USC/downtown area of Los Angeles.

Cash donations of $10 or more may be made at the door for entry, donations of $10 or more at http://www.thepainkillersmovie.com automatically confirms each backer on the RSVP list. There will be live music, DJ, drink specials, raffle prizes and Best Costume prizes in addition to photo opps and video outtakes for the DVD extras menu. Actors in character and costume will be socializing with guests before a filmmaker presentation and release of a new trailer. Costumes are not required to participate but highly encouraged.

Set in the near future, THE PAIN KILLERS is a story of survival by writer/director T. David Carangan and writer/producer Kimberly Anglemyer. Meteors carrying microscopic parasites shower the Earth--unleashing a deadly alien virus that deadens the brain and devours the host from within, creating billions of zombies worldwide. The world's governments unite to enact The Pain Killers Program. Infected test subjects from around the world are inoculated with an experimental vaccine in hopes of finding a cure, but it fails. The chemical reaction between the serum and the alien parasites proves unstable. Hundreds die, but the few who survive are genetically altered--they develop superpowers! Now they have a fighting chance at survival. It's zombies versus superheroes!
