I was sitting in the corner of bedroom of my apartment.
I was tilting forward and back, forward and back.
My eyes was rushing from side to side and had cold sweat running down my back.
I felt noxious and wanted to throw up, however, for some reason I could not.
I must have been sitting in the corner for half an hour, the clock ticked unaffected by the horrors happening outside. All the screams. Screams for mercy.

I listened to the message on the machine again, and tears starting to drop down my cheeks.
"Hi sweetie, it's mom.
I hope you're alright at your new apartment.
Earlier when we where out for a walk something strange happened.
This man, he seemed very ill, came halting over to your father, and being the nice man your father is he decided to help the man out.
As soon as your father grabbed the mans shoulder to help him keep standing the man bid your fathers arm.
The man bit him once more on the hand before your father pushed him away.
We called the police but the line was busy so was the doctors line, so we made sure the man wasn't coming after us and went home.
I treated your dad's wounds the best I could do, but I don't know if I got it cleaned well enough…Joe…I want you to know that even though he never said it, I know he…"
She paused and a weird loud gasp was appearing in the background.
"Tom? Tom…wha-what are you do…"
The power went out in my apartment.
Scratching sounds came from outside my front door.
I walked over to the bed and grabbed my medieval axe, maybe it was not a bad choice to buy it back then after all.
I stepped closer to the door, by each step the sound got louder.
The sound stopped, I hoped whatever was out there was gone so I checked the peek hole in the door. Shaking I tried to get a clear look out but it all seemed blurry.
Suddenly I heard a loud gasp and something banged into the door hard.
I jumped backwards and fell over some shoes. The scratching from earlier had literally become punches a the door.
The door started to give in and I slowly got up again.
Still shaking I raised my axe in one hand and slowly opened the door with the other one…
