World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks was arguably one of the most epic and influential Zombie books of the 21st Century! Will the movie adaptation of the book live up to its inspiration? We find out on December 21, 2012!
The release date is a brilliant, albeit predictable piece of marketing in its self as it is the date of the end of the world or some believe. If the world does begin to come to an end at the conclusion of this year, the last thing people will be doing is going to see a movie so perhaps its not the best idea after all. Die hard fans of the genre and true believers in the Zombie Apocalypse will surly turn up to take notes, but they’d better have a big note pad!
Brad Pitt recently told the Los Angeles Times that Paramount has its eye on a Trilogy! Kind of interesting considering how hard Pitt originally had to push to get a studio to back the project in the first place.
Here’s the hard facts so far:
The story for the first film revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.
