Vampy Bit Me and Artist TK Miller unveiled the original art work and completed sculpture for Zombie Gurrrl (featuring the likeness of Vampy) at ZomBcon 2011 in Seattle last month. Miller stated “I have been waiting to roll this baby out for this special occasion and we’re both very proud of our hard work.”
As a reporter for ZZN I am sometimes blessed with the ability to talk with beautiful and creative people and at Zombcon, this year those blessings came in the form of an interview with Linda Le AKA: Vampy Bit Me, and it went like this:
Daniel Potts/ZZN: Vampy, how are you enjoying the convention?
ZZN: And thank you for giving me a moment of your time! The representation of you as a Zombie in this sculpt is great. It captures your likeness very well. How did this process get started?
Vampy: I met with Miller at Comic Con 11 in San Diego back in September. We had about 10 minutes to take pictures.
ZZN: Was there anything strange or intriguing about the photo shoot that you can tell your fans?
Vampy: Well, we had to work quickly because of time constraints. Oh, I was also just in my underwear.
ZZN: What inspired you to do this?
Vampy: Well, I would like to say getting inspired from artistic friends and being able to work out ideas into a sculpture with someone as talented and humble as TK MILLER. It has been a dream since I’m an avid art collector and art enthusiast, I love pumping out ideas as they come and working on them right away. So we got along in that sense.
ZZN: Are there any other projects in the works with TK Miller?
Vampy: Miller is doing a set of sculptures with Tara Babcock and me. They are going to be an Angel and Devil.
ZZN: Which one will you be?
Vampy: (laughing) Which one do you think?
ZZN: I know you’re in a hurry, is there anything else you would like to say?
Vampy: That’s pretty much all I can say! Thanks so much!
ZZN: My pleasure Vampy and again thank you for your time.

The sculpt by TK Miller is in wax, 16 inches in height, and should be available for purchase now. They are offering the sculpture in three different versions: a garage kit, a limited edition pre-painted statue, and an extremely limited edition of bronze, all at his web site.
