Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2012 especially for fans of Zombie games and Squad Shooters. Not convinced this will be one of the greatest games in history? Check out the newest trailer and become a believer!
(News on the UK release below the trailer)
This just in via the RE:ORC Facebook page:
Capcom’s detailed the Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City pre-order bonuses you can expect to receive when the game releases in the UK on the March 23 [March 20th in the US] on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.Resident Evil fans can expect three basic packages and they come in the form of additional heavy weaponry to give your Umbrella Security Squad operatives and multiplayer encounters that little additional edge. Amazon has snaffled itself an Elite weapons package, allowing you to enjoy some fine military grade offerings like the Perforator shotgun and Tactical Combat Sub-machine gun, on all pre-orders up to the March 22.
GAME and GameStation are relying on brute strength with a Power weapons package which consists of the hard-hitting combat shotgun and the rather tasty looking long-barrelled anti-material rifle.
In addition, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will deliver a number of competitive online multiplayer modes. Each one of these will provide a unique gaming experience thanks to the three way combat between the Umbrella Security Service, US Special Ops and threat of zombies and Bio-Organic Weapons. A Team Deathmatch will have players challenging for the most kills, and a Survival mode is where you hold of the hordes while waiting to be airlifted out of Raccoon City. The Heroes Mode allows players to fight in four versus four multiplayer with your favorite characters.
Yeah, its that good.

Hmm, interesting. The video is rather epic, but I still don’t think this game will satisfy the Resi fans. They are pushing further from “survival horror”… but, hey, it is Capcom. They are known now for disappointment.
I still think this shall be a great, zombie shooter, but I doubt it will be a great Resident Evil.
Bring on the brains.
Probably so, but that is what RE6 is for… to return to the Survival horror genre!
