‘The Walking Dead’ creator Robert Kirkman has revealed that he may be less involved with the Zombie show’s upcoming second season.
The writer told Comic Book Resources that he would have to divide his time between the show and the original comic that inspired it. Check out the video below.
“I’ll continue to be an executive producer,” he confirmed. “With TV, it’s very tempting to work more on [a show] and have a more active hand, but it’s always going to be based upon how much time I have to devote to it…. If I have the time, I would like to be more involved [but] if I see that my comics aren’t coming up and artists are waiting on scripts and things are starting to become a bit of a disaster, I’ll back off [the show], just because I know it’s in good hands.”
Kirkman went on to say that the comic series, which began in 2003, is his “main focus”.
“I may end up being more involved [with the show] and I may end up being less involved,” he mused. “I don’t really know yet. It’s just a matter of what my time permits, so we’ll see!”
The Walking Dead is expected to return to AMC in October 2011.

Well, i guess the show can’t get any worse. Maybe they will be forced to make it more like te comic now. Although I doubt that… the writing on the show really is some of the worst I ever seen. Thank da lords for TWD comic!
I hear you. I have this recurring fear. Remember Jericho? (Lennie James was in that too). The 1st season was awesome. The second season go real goofy with the SFX, story, directing. I worry about that happening.
