Dr. Dale’s Zombie Dictionary, The A-Z Guide to Staying Alive, is an information packed must-have for the Zombie enthusiast, or, like me, the actual Zombie. Dr. Dale has managed to pack into this book every word and term even remotely connected with Zombies, zombie survival, and anything else you need to know to “fit right in” the next time talk turn Zombie at work, or in the asylum.
Starting with, unbelievably, the letter A, the book begins with “Aardvark” (yes, there is a Zombie connection), and moves on to issues like “Allergies” (didn’t think of dealing with your allergies when there are no meds, did you… ), and, eventually, my favorite: “Attorney” (and no, it’s not so you have someone to throw in front of the Zombie swarms…).
Dr. Dale’s Zombie Dictionary covers topics such as land ownership in a world with no government as we know it (see “Escheat”), dealing with safe-houses, and after a fun filled read ends with the “YMCA” and “Yoga” to name a few.
The great thing about this dictionary, is that it is so much more that a dictionary, it’s more of an encyclopedia. Each entry goes into some analysis of the word or phrase listed. Example: “Musical Instrument” isn’t listed simply as an object used to make music – the listing goes into the psychological benefits of such an item, it’s emotional benefits for survivors, etc., during a Zombie apocalypse.
I found Dr. Dale’s Zombie Dictionary, The A-Z Guide to Staying Alive to read more like a book than a dictionary. You wont wan’t to put it down, and your friend’s will want to “borrow” it. This book is a keeper.
