Brain Food: January’s Resolution – To Read More Comics!

“Hello, children! Be very quiet, the Doctor is just coming out of his sleepy-time…”

“Squee, you’re tellin’ me he’s STILL out from your Hemlock Nog?!”

“Yes, Jenny…I fear I measured badly this year. Too much with the hemlock, not enough with the nog. Very tasty, though!”

“How is it that you’re always okay after drinking that hooch?”

“Old family recipe – I’ve been drinking it since I was a little larva, back in 1813. I have a tolerance for the nog!”

“Wait, wait, wait…you’re 199 years old?!”

“Well, no – not until June, that’s when I hatched!”

“Holy macaroni! Well, you don’t look a day over 150…”

“Oh, Jenny – you make me feel so special!”

“No prob, old buddy! Hey, do you have any comics for us?”

“Oh my, yes! This week’s books have two of my very favorites: Mister The Goon and The Living Corpse. The only way they could be better is if they would be teaming up! And after their battles, they could have a drink at our crypt and we could all dance and sing songs together…”

“Yeah, sure – as long as you’re not making them any nog. Ummm, why are those comics so…moist?”

“Oh, I have been giving the books special hugs all morning! Don’t worry, is probably just Squee’s spittle. The rest of the comics will be dry, though.”
